Race to Alaska (R2AK) Ruckus

Join the Race to Alaska community for the R2AK Ruckus, the official pre-race party hosted on the Northwest Maritime Center campus in Port Townsend. Meet racers and crews, view boats (many displayed on the hard or moored in Point Hudson Marina), enjoy live music, food and drinks, and soak up the atmosphere before the 750-mile, motorless Race to Alaska. A tattoo artist will be on site (the race packet notes a limited number of complimentary R2AK tattoos for early registrants).

When: June 13, 2026 • 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM (local time)

Where: Northwest Maritime Center / Point Hudson, 431 Water Street, Port Townsend, WA.

Highlights: boats on display, live music, food & drink, racer meet-and-greets, and the chance to get a R2AK tattoo. The Ruckus is family- and community-oriented — come early to see vessels and talk with teams before they depart for Ketchikan.
